Summer Sturdivant is an AmeriCorps VISTA and resident of the historic Selma, Al. She is a 21-year-old Psychology major aspiring to be a clinical therapist. Currently she attends Southern New Hampshire-Online. She is a graduate of Dallas County High School and is also the first student from her high school to receive her associate degree while still in high school from Wallace Community College-Selma. Summer is the co-founder of “Young, Black and Gifted” which focuses on keeping the youth involved in the community. Summer’s main focus for Selma is to “become ONE”. She believes in being the change you want to see.
