What is MLK Youth Day?
MLK Youth Day 2022 is a fun-filled, family and youth-friendly day combining free food, free activities, free music, free art, expression, and education with an emphasis on providing youth opportunities to get actively involved in our community. Immediately following the MLK Day Parade, this is an awesome chance for youth and local residents to interact with a wide range of organizations, businesses, and opportunities to engage with community activities. With participation from people from different age groups and backgrounds youth can come and find out about potential volunteers/intern opportunities, and learn about the programs residents of all ages can participate in.
How can I get involved?
The SCNTR is inviting individuals, organizations, and businesses to participate in the event. There are three ways to participate:
Attendees: Can attend the event for free and enjoy all of the activities
Volunteers: Can support the event and earn community service hours towards graduation
Organization and Business Booths: Are places for businesses and organizations to interact with the community and increase engagement
